About SPARC
Our Theory of Change
How the work of an Associate in the constituency adds up, from activities on the ground to effective delivery of public services.
-
01 · Start
Begin with the constituency
The Associate assesses the current socio-economic indicators of the constituency, through primary research (field visits) and secondary research (the constituency profile), and identifies the gaps.
-
02 · Activities
Strengthen the office of the MP
Structure the various processes at the office of the MP, discuss the priority areas with the MP, and provide knowledge support to MPs.
-
03 · Activities
Work with the administration and the community
Shortlist the areas of intervention, assess schemes with government officials, conduct baseline surveys, finalise the plan of action with the district administration, then mobilise the community and run awareness campaigns.
-
04 · Output
What the work produces
Faster delivery of public services, knowledge enhancement, a well informed community, people attending awareness campaigns, new beneficiaries enrolled, and funds mobilised.
-
05 · Outcome
What changes as a result
The office of the MP, the community and government officials build capacity; people gain access to public services; and benefits are disbursed.
-
06 · Impact
Effective delivery of public services
Together, these outcomes add up to the program’s objective: strengthening last-mile public service delivery in the most underserved parts of India.
Read from the bottom up: activities produce outputs, outputs lead to outcomes, and outcomes add up to the impact.
